Working Duration: 12 months contract with PERSOLKELLY (can be renewable)

Salary: Basic range RM2,500 – RM3,500

Working Location: Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Complex A, Mas Engineering, 47200 Subang, Selangor

Working Hours/Day: Monday – Friday (0800 to 1730)

Job responsibilities:

  1. Tooling & Calibration Technician will perform calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance on tools and equipment related to production operations.
  2. Drive best practice daily through high standards of engineering, compliance, and HS&E standards.
  3. Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain an accurate inventory and status of calibrated tools and equipment to ensure backup tool availability.
  2. Provides the shop with a list of tools due for calibration to ensure all expired tools are recalled accordingly as per the QCWI.
  3. Routes tools for calibration to approved calibration sources.
  4. Manages the full process of quotation, PO release, tool pick up, receiving and inspection of all calibrated tools in the shop.
  5. Supervise and coordinate with contractors and vendors on works for maintenance and repair related to tools and equipment.
  6. Maintains records of calibration performed on all calibrated tools.
  7. Anticipates and responds to identify needs, both immediate and projected, for assigned areas of responsibility.
  8. Defines calibration cycles as per the tool’s manual and also the most economical solution workable to production’s needs.
  9. Coordinate all the calibration of the tooling & instrumentation for new equipment, new programs or Eng. changes for tooling process.
  10. Coordinate calibrated tooling std. and requirement, testing and functionality.
  11. Coordinate on tools calibration and purchases, follow up on RFQ, PO and DO etc.
  12. Analyze pricing for tools purchases and calibration activity, to maintain tracker.
  13. Coordinate tooling calibration in-house by 3rd party vendor in dedicated tooling calibration.
  14. Plan, estimate, sequence, and perform any task required to program, fabricate, assemble, maintain, inspect, and repair any and all types of tools.
  15. Use and/or interpret tool and engineering drawings and models, sketches, templates, tool design manuals, verbal information, master tools, production parts, digital data, and various handbooks in accomplishing and communicating work requirements.
  16. Support the Tooling Supervisor in the identification and procurement of parts required for maintenance and repair & calibration
  17. Keep track of spare part and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.
  18. Participate and contribute actively in continuous improvement activities.
  19. Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the production and working areas.
  20. Respond to emergency calls for any troubleshooting / support required at the site.

Qualification

  1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a tooling/calibration technician or skilled trade within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  2. Possess a minimum Professional Certificate/Diploma in fields related to calibration (preferably Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic or equivalent)
  3. Ability and willingness to work off/varied shift/weekends, as required.
  4. Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word & Excel applications.
