Lead Sales Engineer, Malaysia and Export

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Partner with sales team members to source contacts, prospects, and follow up with potential customers to demonstrate new business development and leads management.
- Discover customer needs, the lead sales engineer shall be able to discuss clearly and articulate highly technical concepts and exhibit exceptional sales skills to all prospective customers.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with new customers while operating within the company’s financial guidelines.
- Jointly develop the strategic sales direction for PERI’s formwork & scaffolding solutions.
- Forecast and target new projects/customers and develop a robust pipeline for project opportunities.
- Develop market awareness and provide product presentations to customers, potential customers, and other relevant parties (owners, developers, main contractors, etc.).
- Early identification of target projects to develop potential solutions in advance of the project being awarded.
- Monitor the long-term project outlook to signal upturns or downturns in opportunities as early as possible and actively contribute to secure project wins.
- Analyze market trends within the construction industry.
What you'll need to be successful:
- A Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture with a good track record in Sales or relevant fields is preferred.
- Technical and sales mindset.
- Extrovert personality with solid business acumen.
- Strong networking, knowledge, and experience in the Formwork and Scaffolding Industry.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Assertive, resourceful, and efficient.
- Proficient with MS Teams, MS Office, and Outlook.
- Results and productivity-driven; initiative-taking and able to work independently.
- Able and willing to travel covering nationwide locations and Export Markets.
- Fluent in the English language is essential; additional local languages will be beneficial.
