Technical Sales Manager, Food and Nutrition

Main Accountabilities

  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by

planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential

sales outlets and other trade factors.

  • Effectively provide technical support to customer, including product

recommendation, technical advice & trainings and supporting customers on

field trials and cost savings analysis.

  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such

as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory

analysis.

  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing,

products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandizing techniques.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional pub

lications; establishing personal networks.

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions;

preparing reports and making recommendations to management.

  • Develop and grow the commercial relationships of assigned leading industrial

customers while prospecting for new accounts to increase market penetration.

  • Carry out visits to target customers to promote products and provide feedback

to business and suppliers of customer response and activity.

  • Manage project pipeline via CRM to drive new business opportunities to

commercial success.

  • Forecast sales to enable operations planning, introduce product innovations

and maintain active memberships.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Food Science or other relevant education.

Dairy/Meat technical experience would be an advantage.

  • 3 years of progressive experience in technical sales / commercial roles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to liaise with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong team Player and able to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills in order to follow different assigned task.
  • Highly organized, hands-on, able to work well under pressure, handle multiple

priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Sense of ownership and drive (problem solver, self-starter with a bias for

prompt action and removing roadblocks, accountable to get things done in a

timely manner).
