Contribute to meeting or exceeding store sales and profit targets by

• Passionately engaging with anglers and building customer loyalty to the Brand,
• Effectively serving customers and providing suitable fishing product recommendations
• Using fishing and product knowledge to support customers in making confident purchasing decisions
• Diligently executing store operations to maintain a professional, organised and welcoming fishing retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Be aware of store sales and KPI targets, as well as individual performance targets, take ownership of them and work proactively to meet or exceed them
• Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience for every customer
• Recommend suitable fishing rods, reels, lines, lures, hooks, terminal tackle, accessories and other products based on customers' requirements
• Communicate product features, benefits, differences and unique selling points clearly and accurately
• Arrange, display and replenish fishing products according to established merchandising standards
• Complete cash register transactions, payments and refunds accurately and efficiently
• Assist with receiving, checking and arranging incoming fishing tackle and merchandise
• Collaborate productively and respectfully with team members to achieve store sales and operational goals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferably 1–2 months of working experience in a retail, sporting goods, outdoor or fishing-related environment
• Candidates with no retail experience but a strong interest or knowledge in fishing are encouraged to apply
• Basic numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
• Willing to work retail hours, weekends and public holidays when required
• Physically able to perform basic store duties such as receiving, moving and arranging merchandise
