Job Summary

Location: Bintulu, Sarawak

Career Level: Minimum 5 years of working experience in related field

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Plantations or related field

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the implementation of best management practices for oil palm cultivation, including land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
2. Monitor and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and quality standards.
3. Coordinate with the Field Supervisors and workers to optimize productivity and efficiency.
4. Implement and monitor pest and disease control measures to maintain the overall health of the palm trees.
5. Oversee the maintenance and repair of plantation infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and irrigation systems.
6. Collect and analyze data on yield, productivity, and other key performance indicators.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the overall yield and profitability of the plantation.
8. Assist in the planning and allocation of resources such as labour, machinery, and supplies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
9. Monitor and report on the utilization of resources and make recommendations for optimization.
10. Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to environmental protection, labour practices, and occupational safety.
11. Promote sustainable farming practices and contribute to the development and implementation of the plantation’s environmental and social responsibility initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Possess Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Plantation Management, Agriculture, Agriculture Science, Agronomy, or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the management of oil palm plantations or a similar agricultural setting.
3. Strong understanding of oil palm cultivation practices, including pest and disease management, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
4. Proficient in data analysis and decision-making based on performance metrics.
