Unifi Consumer Manager (Independent Contractor)

Note: This is an independent contractor role for Manager for Unifi Consumer Social and will be reporting directly to TM Client. We are looking for candidates that is able to start by June 2026, contract period of 1 year. Overview We're looking for a highly driven and creative Manager for Unifi Consumer Social to l ead the development and execution of social strategies that drive relevance, engagement, and results. You'll manage a team of creatives and content specialists, work closely with agency partners, and oversee platform activity across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and more. This role blends campaign thinking, content planning, trendspotting, and data-backed decision making — all to ensure Unifi continues to lead in the hearts, minds, and feeds of Malaysian consumers. Responsibilities Social Strategy & Planning
- Develop and drive end-to-end social media strategies for Unifi — from brand storytelling and content calendars to campaign amplification and tactical activations.
- Align social content plans with brand campaigns, product launches, promotions, and cultural moments.
- Identify platform-specific growth opportunities and new content formats (e.g. TikTok series, IG collabs, influencer partnerships).
- Oversee content ideation, briefing, and review across always-on and campaign content.
- Manage agency and in-house content teams to deliver scroll-stopping creative that is on-brand and on-trend.
- Ensure creative assets are adapted effectively across platforms, audiences, and objectives.
- Lead community engagement strategy with the right mix of brand voice, wit, empathy, and speed.
- Monitor conversations, trends, and audience sentiment to ensure brand relevance and agility.
- Proactively spot reactive opportunities and high-engagement moments for the brand to participate in.
- Manage and mentor a team of Assistant Managers, Executives, and interns within the Consumer Social team.
- Set and track performance KPIs — reach, engagement, traffic, sentiment, and conversion — and translate insights into action.
- Use tools like Sprinklr, Meta Suite, TikTok Ads Manager, and Google Analytics to drive reporting and optimisation.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews, campaign retrospectives, and content audits to refine strategies.
- 5–8 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content strategy, preferably within a telco, lifestyle, or consumer brand environment.
- Proven track record managing social media at scale — ideally for a high-volume, always-on brand with a large following.
- Experience working with or managing creative/media agencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong command of major social platforms — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
- Hands-on experience with social media tools such as Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads Manager, and Google Analytics.
- Solid understanding of content performance metrics and the ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
- Comfortable leading community management with a sharp eye for brand voice, tone, and cultural relevance.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team, including executives and junior staff.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Effective communicator who can present ideas and performance reports clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Mass Media, or a related field.
- Candidates must be comfortable working on a contract basis for a TM (Telekom Malaysia) social media mandate.
