As part of our commitment to enhancing coding educational landscapes in Malaysia, Walnut Coding is broadening its reach within Chinese and International Schools in Malaysia, integrating Scratch, Python, and C++ programming into school curriculums or co-curriculum activities.

Role Overview:

As the Senior/Graphic Designer, you will be crucial in supporting our marketing lead to produce visually compelling video and graphic content tailored for our B2B educational technology product, targeting predominantly primary and secondary school students. Your work will develop captivating visuals that effectively communicate our brand message and strengthen our digital presence. You will also participate in design work related to updating the teachers' platform, social media platforms, and website development.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in upcoming rebranding initiative, which includes updates to our website and social media platforms, and website development.
• Collaborate with the creative team to design and produce video and graphic content for various marketing initiatives, social media, and other digital platforms.
• Assist in video production and editing tasks, including capturing footage, selecting and editing clips, applying animations, transitions, and effects, and optimizing video content for diverse platforms.
• Create engaging graphic designs such as illustrations, infographics, banners, and social media assets, ensuring they align with our brand standards.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for video and graphic design projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and practices to bring fresh and innovative ideas to our projects.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality work promptly.

Requirements:

• Have a relevant degree program, such as graphic design, multimedia, film production, or related fields, with good track record/relevant experience.
• Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva).
• Familiarity with website-building tools and platforms will be considered a significant asset.
• To interface with some Chinese typography/content edits, proficiency in the Chinese language is highly desirable.
• Strong creative and artistic skills, with a sharp eye for composition, typography, and color theory.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, crucial for effectively presenting ideas and receiving feedback.
• A strong portfolio that showcases your video and graphic design skills is highly desirable.
