Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment of analytical and electromechanical equipment with strong basics in product engineering support and documentation (WI, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.).

Requirements:

  1. Highly accountable with reasonable sense of urgency to resolve quality issues and enable shipping of products.
  2. High technical inclination with working knowledge across a wide range of electro-mechanical topics - heaters, thermistors, PCBAs, motor & drive, machined & sheet metal parts, plastic parts, fluid handling parts.
  3. Well-versed in quality tools and statistical methods (SPC, DOE, Statistical Inference, etc.) in analysis and technical problem solving; practical knowledge in statistical analysis and reporting.
  4. Strong inclination to continuous improvement.
  5. Technically inclined with good communication and people skills across all functions from production to management - able to work with cross-functional teams objectively, result-oriented, and disciplined.
  6. Familiarization with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 will be of added advantage.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Provide engineering support in manufacturing laboratory analysis equipment and accessories.
  2. Establish effective work instructions and controls of critical process & test parameters.
  3. Maintain bill of materials and setting up routing hours.
  4. Establish monitoring mechanisms for key process parameters (yield, NCM) and respond proactively to process & material deviations in maintaining product quality and ensuring assurance of supply.
  5. Collaborate with other internal functions as well as external suppliers and service providers in running continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, cost, and efficiency - tools and jig design, automation, process optimization.
  6. Work closely with production to ensure assembly and test activities are carried out correctly and in compliance to released processes.
  7. Work closely with production technicians and assemblers on failure troubleshooting, provide WI (Work Instruction) updates and training.
  8. Manage ECO changes effectively through collaboration with multiple functions - production, procurement, planning, materials, R&D.
  9. Participate in NPI, Product Transfer for Product Insourcing activities to ensure successful landing of new products to the organization.
