What you'll do:

• Plan, coordinate and execute cloud security compliance projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the cloud security compliance team, assisting with compliance assessments, control implementations and remediation efforts.
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the cloud security compliance team including task assignment, performance evaluation and professional development.
• Conduct compliance assessments, audits, and reviews of cloud-based systems and services, evaluating adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal policies.
• Perform compliance gap analyses to identify areas of non-compliance, weaknesses in controls and opportunities for improvement in cloud security compliance posture.
• Develop and implement remediation plans and strategies to address compliance gaps, vulnerabilities and deficiencies identified during assessments and audits.
• Assess the security posture of cloud service providers and third-party vendors, ensuring that they meet contractual security requirements and compliance obligations.
• Maintain documentation of cloud security compliance activities, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, audit reports and remediation plans.
• Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

What you’ll bring with you:

• Bachelor’s and or Master’s degree in Computer Science or or any related discipline.
• Added advantage for those with the following certifications :
• ISC2 CISSP,
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty,
• ISC2 SSCP,
• ISACA CISM,
• COBIT, or
• ISACA CISA.
• More than 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, cloud security engineering or any related field. 
• Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role overseeing cloud security engineering initiatives is highly desirable. 
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and industry standards relevant to cloud security, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and CSA.
• Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities within cloud environments. Experience developing risk management strategies and implementing security controls to address identified risks.
• Ability to develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards specific to cloud computing environments. 
• Exhibits strong communication and writing skills, conveying complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Possesses good problem-solving skills, identifying and analysing complex issues to develop effective solutions. Utilises critical thinking and creativity to approach challenges from multiple perspectives pertaining to day-to-day operations and cyber-related matters.
