Responsibilities:

Process Engineer is in charge of supporting APU on process reliability and improvement activities to have efficient machines and standard equipment.

  1. Maintain Equipment Reliability and Performance:
    1. Understand product/process specifications and customer requirements.
    2. Define standard equipment documentation to use equipment properly.
    3. Define process flow chart and write standard instructions.
    4. Define maintenance level 1, Work Instructions, and technical documentation.
    5. Train operators/set-up technicians to standard process and Work Instructions.
    6. Support machine performance targets and TRP improvement.
    7. Provide technical support to APUs on day-to-day problem-solving and analysis.
  2. Continuous Improvement and Productivity:
    1. Define cycle time improvement plan and contribute to -30 Plan savings.
    2. Lead cycle time reduction workshops.
    3. Detect muda on processes and define action plan to improve machine efficiency.
    4. Support productivity workshop deployment in APUs.
    5. Support TPM methodology (ERIM program) and support training deployment.
    6. Support VPS workshop (HOSHIN, 5S, SMED, change over).
    7. Lead process modification meetings with APU managers, understand production needs, define planning and select suppliers to achieve SQCD targets.
    8. Be involved in packaging validation and internal flow improvement.
    9. Propose technical improvements.
    10. Join VPS Committee on request.
    11. Review/Improve Process FMEA to reduce risks and ensure action plan is implemented (update PFMEA after APU QRQC).
  3. Safety Improvement:
    1. Eradicate ergonomic and safety issues when detected.
    2. Join ergonomic and safety assessment for any new equipment, machines or layout.
    3. Perform regular audits on processes to ensure operators run equipment properly with no ergonomic and safety issues.
    4. Apply the SPV rules.
    5. Escalate to APU managers if any deviation to standard (WI, PPE).
  4. Others:
    1. Save natural resources, energy, and paper.
    2. Obey EHS laws and related requirements, implement EHS regulations, procedures, and work instructions.
  5. Industrialization of New Products:
    1. Support new product industrialization and modifications (ensure respect of IProM).
    2. Interface with projects and Production to prepare new equipment, meet performance and cost targets.
    3. Respect and ensure respect of safety and VPS rules for new process development.
    4. Manage the process development documentation, WI and support operator training.
    5. Take part in pre-serial trials and FDPR (Full Day Production Runs) to confirm that the process is robust enough to go into mass production (Process PY check, OK-Start procedure, Cpk).
    6. Work with Process PTM to approve standard conditions and SOP.
    7. Propose technical solutions to improve machine performance and ensure efficient new product industrialization.
    8. Support outsourcing and re-insourcing activities in APUs (if any).
