Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Policies and Procedures : Establish, optimize and simplify relative management system/procedure/policies; Supervise the implementation of all policies and procedures to improve overall efficiency and cross-functional collaboration in order to guide employees' work and improve department efficiency.
- People management and development : Build a team with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and proactive skills, fully aligning with TE core values; Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; Review and provide timely feedback to direct reports; Mentor, develop and motivate them; Help resolve people/functional issues in the team to achieve targeted department performance and retain key talent.
- Materials & inventory control : Review planning accuracy and inventory level monthly and action plan for improvement to achieve the yearly target; Regularly review with the purchasing group to ensure materials are ready for production as planned; Ensure both MC and PC proactively communicate with manufacturing on any abnormal issues impacting normal production and implement necessary recovery plans to minimize negative impacts on production and delivery.
- Production Planning & Driving : Review production output daily and drive operations to achieve output goals.
- Customer Service : Review STR/LT monthly and action plan to achieve the yearly target.
- Procurement (Purchasing) : Manage, optimize and upgrade vendor base to ensure competent vendors support current and future business needs; Build strong partnerships with strategic vendors in full compliance with TE's procurement policy; Regularly visit/audit strategic vendors; Review cost-saving results monthly and action plans, supply performance on delivery/quality to achieve the yearly target.
- Warehouse management : Monitor inventory report monthly and action plan to achieve the yearly target.
- Shipping, Logistics & Customs clearance management : Monthly review shipping performance and action plan to achieve the yearly target; Oversee compliance with cross-function to achieve the yearly target.
- Global supply review : Monthly BU supply chain review meeting with sales/PM/Demand team and BU central supply team to develop planning strategy and achieve the yearly target.
- EHS : Oversee and strictly follow EHS rules implementation to avoid any accidents.
- Others : Other tasks assigned per business needs.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree, 10+ years materials/supply chain management experience in large foreign electric industrial companies.
- Supplier negotiation & customer satisfaction under force majeure.
- Communication skills, customer focus, ability to work under pressure, accountability, passion, energy, and proficiency in English.
