Boiler Service & Repair Engineer

Our local, ever expanding Mechanical & Electrical client are now looking for an experienced Boiler, Service and Repair Engineer to join their busy Bristol branch, to provide installation services in and around the Bristol area.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Complete Landlord Gas Safety inspections and gas appliance servicing as per manufactures instruction at private and social housing properties
• Carry out reactive maintenance on all types of boilers and heating systems.
• Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures’ all relevant industry standards (including basic risk assessments), whilst completing all work in line with manufactures recommendations and company procedures
• A flexible approach to working hours, being part of a call out rota, working overtime when required to meet customer expectations.
• Responsible for managing company vehicle, including its cleanliness (inside and out) and van stock levels.

Experience:

• Minimum experience of 3 years in domestic heating systems, fault finding and central heating controls with a proven track record and able to demonstrate a high level of customer service whilst treating customers properties with respect.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Accredited Certification Scheme including, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1
• UHWSS (G3 Unvented Hot Water systems).
• Essential system controls, electrics, and basic heating wiring knowledge.
• General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which may include the use of an iPad.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience working on heat-pumps (air & ground source) and solar thermal systems.
• Experience working on underfloor heating systems.
• DASHP (BPEC Level 3 domestic air source heat-pumps).
• DGSHP (BPEC Level 3 domestic ground source heat-pumps).
• STHWS (BPEC Level 3 solar thermal hot water systems).

Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• OFTEC (OFT10-101, OFT10-105E and OFT10-600a)
• 17/18th Edition or Part P electrical qualifications and will be a distinct advantage
