Forklift Operator

Job description

Safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials within a warehouse AND factory. This includes tasks like unloading deliveries, stacking materials, and ensuring inventory accuracy. Maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and may assist with other warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating Forklifts: Driving and maneuvering forklifts safely and efficiently to move goods.
Loading and Unloading: Loading and unloading materials from trucks, trailers, or other vehicles.
Stacking and Storing: Stacking materials on pallets or shelves, ensuring proper storage arrangements.
Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory checks and maintenance.
Safety and Maintenance: Following safety regulations, performing routine equipment checks, and reporting any necessary repairs.
Communication: Communicating with warehouse personnel to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
Quality Assurance: Inspecting goods for damage and reporting any issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
Forklift Certification: Often requires a forklift license or certification.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail when handling materials and maintaining inventory.
Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to forklift operation.
