Job Description
Cricut is seeking an experienced and versatile Associate Hardware Product Test Engineer to join our Hardware Quality Engineering team. You will be responsible for performing consumer products reliability & validation testing during mass production, new product development, as well as engineering verification testing.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform reliability and validation testing for consumer products based on the established test plan during product development stages.
  2. Develop new methods of testing in line with the product requirements and engineering specifications.
  3. Maintain inventories and order test supplies, ensuring calibration and preventive maintenance of lab test equipment.
  4. Stay up to date on regulatory and industry standards and new developments in the field.
  5. Develop test plans for reliability tests including thermal, humidity, vibration, shock, drop/tumble, HALT/HASS, accelerated aging, etc.
  6. Communicate and present product defect, failure, risk, and opportunity data during testing to cross-functional teams.
  7. Analyze and provide a precise test report and status update for product readiness review at EVT, DVT, MPQ, and MP gates.

Qualification and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Material Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  2. 2-5 years of hands-on technical work experience in a related field is desirable.
  3. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills with spoken and written English.
  5. Self-starter, capable of working independently while making sound technical/business judgments and building strong cross-functional relationships.
  6. Experience with engineering drawings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Good understanding of validation and product reliability testing in a lab/product testing environment.
  2. Knowledgeable in test method development and execution per the test plan.
  3. Experience with mechanical parts, gears, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or automotive high-volume quality manufacturing engineering is preferred.
  4. Working knowledge of UL/ASTM/ISO testing and standards preferred.
