Job Summary:
The Tax Senior will be responsible for providing a range of tax services for clients in a variety of industries. This includes planning, consulting, and compliance functions. The role requires a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex situations. The Tax Senior will work closely with clients and other internal teams to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and to provide valuable tax-related advice.

Work Environment:
This position may require extended hours during tax season and other peak periods.
Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or training sessions and travel allowance will be provided.

Job Requirements

• To manage the operation of the tax department and oversee tax return preparation and filing.
• Able to prepare full sets of tax computation for individuals, partnerships, companies, and more
• Handling and providing advisory services on tax compliance for corporate and individual clients
• Prepare, organize, and handle all tax documents, reports, and statements and continuously improve tax processes
• Monitor deadlines and attend to correspondence with clients and relevant authorities
• Mentor junior team members and ensure good progress of team performance.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s / Master's Degree/Professional Qualification or similar qualification in Taxation, Accounting, or any related field
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consulting mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without close supervision
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Required skills: Microsoft Office and knowledge in iBizztax software will be an added advantage
• Good communication and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Required languages: English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia
