Technical Superintendent Offshore (0041 Mar 2024)

Royal Ocean Marine, a leading recruitment agency in the maritime industry based in Singapore, is seeking a Technical Superintendent to join the client's team in Malaysia. As a Technical Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vessels.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing and overseeing the technical operations of the vessels in the fleet
2. Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
3. Developing and implementing maintenance and repair plans to optimize vessel performance and minimize downtime
4. Coordinating and overseeing dry-docking and repair projects
5. Monitoring vessel performance and addressing any technical issues in a timely manner
6. Maintaining effective communication with ship personnel, owners, and other stakeholders
7. Providing technical support and guidance to ship personnel
8. Managing budgets and controlling costs related to vessel maintenance and repairs

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a similar role
3. Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
6. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
7. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
8. Willingness to travel as needed
