Job Description

Role Overview:

As an IoT Application Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and executing IoT solutions that solve complex problems and drive digital transformation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design architectures, and build scalable and secure IoT systems. Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute site survey and requirement study to evaluate the future implementation of smart devices and sensors in the solution.
2. Design and develop the implementation of various smart devices and sensors in the end-to-end IoT applications.
3. Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and design system architecture based on customer's business requirements.
4. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, API documentation, and user guides.
5. Hands-on system deployment, execute installation, commissioning, and perform User Acceptance Test (UAT).
6. Conduct testing to validate the functionality & performance of the IoT applications, perform system data analysis & troubleshooting.
7. Collaborate with project engineers in executing user training and system go-live preparation.
8. In-charge of aftersales support including system support, preventive maintenance support, and return merchandise authorization (RMA) support.
9. Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external entities.
10. Collaborate with business development unit in demonstration preparation and proof-of-concept execution.
11. Assist in providing technical suggestions or ideas for IoT solution proposals.

Job Requirements

Requirement:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical/Robotic & Mechatronics/IT or related field.
2. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
3. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, or other industry-specific software.
4. Enthusiasm for learning and keeping up with the latest IoT trends and advancements.
5. Strong understanding of IoT concepts, protocols, networking, and architectures and good conceptual understanding of technical solutions.
6. Strong interest and capability in data analysis, problem-solving, and system troubleshooting.
7. Decent understanding of software programming and database knowledge.
8. Strong logical thinking, critical thinking, and ability to react fast in different situations.
9. Ability to quickly pick up new domain knowledge and correlate customer requirements into technical solutions spontaneously.
10. Good interpersonal communication and coordination skills.
11. Innovative mindset and willingness to embrace new ideas, methodologies, or solution workflows.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical consultation and convincing skills.
13. Good in organizing & structuring scattered information and compiling them into comprehensive technical documentation.
14. Basic understanding of hardware technical (electronics, electrical, and mechanical) and software development (does not require hands-on operation).
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and customers.
16. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
