Responsibilities
Maintaining and improving the food safety & quality compliance in the company, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the overall goals of the company.
- Responsible for assisting the QA Head to lead the QA team. This involves providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that team members are effectively carrying out their responsibilities.
- Continuously improving quality assurance processes for enhancing overall product safety & quality. Identifying areas for improvement, implementing changes, and measuring the effectiveness of these improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments such as production, engineering, call centre to address food safety & quality related issues and ensure that standards are met throughout the organization.
- Maintaining accurate records of quality assurance activities and generating reports on quality metrics. This information is used to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Stay informed about regulatory requirements and work to ensure that the company meets all necessary standards including GMP, HACCP, FSMA, ISO 22000 and BRCGS.
- Ensure all operational staff complies with policies, procedure, work instructions, rules and regulation related to food safety and quality.
- Responsible to handle and support the team on all Internal Audit, External Audit for the company and also for suppliers.
- Responsible in the support of and implementation of other FSQMS as required.
- Handle the GMP program including routine checks on all operational staff.
- Report non-conformances, assist in investigation of non-conformances and identification of areas for improvement.
- Support Research and Development activities.
- To undertake projects and other responsibilities pertaining to food safety, quality and innovativeness as and when assigned by the superior
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
- Must have sound knowledge in BRC standards and ISO 22000
- Specialized in Quality Assurance or equivalent is a must.
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Proven ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Possess Excellent organizational, Management skills, Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
