Sales Engineer
Location: Kota Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities to achieve sales growth.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical consultations.
- Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and tender documents.
- Handle technical discussions and respond to customers' technical and product-related inquiries.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and technical support teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and other commercial terms with customers.
- Follow up on sales leads, quotations, project opportunities, and customer feedback.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, industry events, and networking activities.
- Prepare regular sales reports, sales forecasts, customer visit reports, and pipeline updates.
- Provide after-sales support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to strengthen long-term business relationships.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering , such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience , preferably in technical sales, engineering sales, or business development.
- Experience in a technical or engineering-related industry will be an advantage.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into suitable technical solutions.
