Production Manager

Job Description

Our client is a semiconductor company in Melaka. Due to rapid expansion, they are currently seeking a Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning and Scheduling:
   1. Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing lead times.
   2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production schedules with overall business objectives.
2. Quality Management:
   1. Enforce and uphold IATF 16949 automotive quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
   2. Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure the production of defect-free semiconductor components.
3. Team Leadership:
   1. Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
   2. Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.
4. Process Optimization:
   1. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing best practices to enhance overall manufacturing performance.
   2. Work closely with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes for quality and cost-effectiveness.
5. Supply Chain Coordination:
   1. Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.
   2. Implement inventory management strategies to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
6. Health and Safety Compliance:
   1. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the production environment.
   2. Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a secure and accident-free workplace.

Skills & Experience Required

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a strong understanding of IATF 16949 automotive standards.
3. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
4. In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
