Senior Manager – Network Security & Identity (World Vision International)

Position Overview

Leads Pillar 2 within Global Technology Services, accountable for the global security, performance, and integrity of network infrastructure and identity services across World Vision International. The role includes people management of a specialist team (Network Engineers, Network Tech Design Lead, IAM Engineers, Endpoint Tech Design Lead).

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage the Network Engineers, Network Tech Design Lead, IAM Engineers, and Endpoint Tech Design Lead; set expectations, conduct performance conversations and foster a security‑ownership culture.
• Own the global network strategy—architecture, segmentation, performance, and resilience across office and field environments; oversee firewall configuration, VPN management, ZTNA, and secure remote connectivity.
• Lead global network operations: performance monitoring, capacity planning, incident response; enforce network security standards per WVI GTD Governance framework and CIS Controls v8.
• Coordinate network support to regional and field office IT teams, including low‑bandwidth and remote contexts.
• Lead IAM engineering delivery; oversee IAM engineers working on Entra ID, AWS identity services, PAM and MFA enforcement; drive Zero Trust principles of least privilege, continuous verification, and risk‑based access.
• Govern third‑party and vendor identity access, including vendor sandbox OU controls for Deloitte, LTIMindtree and other partners.
• Manage Endpoint Security Architecture as design authority; maintain standards, policies and architecture decisions for endpoint security within the Zero Trust posture.
• Act as senior escalation point for P2 major incidents, critical security risks and complex operational issues; oversee service‑level performance, compliance reporting, and vendor engagement.
• Apply FinOps principles to P2 operations; optimise tooling, licensing and service costs while maintaining security posture.
• Represent P2 in GTS leadership forums, security governance bodies and the Zero Trust Steering Group; champion Agile and DevSecOps practices across the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years in IT security, network engineering or infrastructure, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Solid knowledge of network security and IAM; hands‑on experience with Zero Trust concepts in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Experience with Microsoft security tooling (Entra ID, Defender for Identity, conditional access) and enterprise network security (firewalls, ZTNA/VPN, segmentation).
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a small technical team; clear communicator for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of CIS Controls v8, NIST CSF, or ISO27001.
• Deep expertise across both network security and IAM, with ownership of enterprise‑scale implementations.
• Track record of cross‑functional influence, working across pillars, programmes and vendor partners.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Preferred

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Security, CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.
• Experience in an INGO, NGO or mission‑driven organisation across multiple regions.
• Familiarity with Zscaler, Meraki or Portnox in enterprise environments.
• Exposure to FinOps disciplines and technology cost governance.
• AWS networking and identity experience or certifications.
