Job Summary Responsible for the Trade Management and Reporting & Control team. Is responsible for the timely settlement of all Securities Lending related trade activity across various international markets and will successfully manage potential impact to RBC Investors clients (both internal and external). The role involves provision of support to the International Securities Lending trading desks, and the development and management of relationships with borrowers and several internal departments. Job Description What is the opportunity RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. You will be responsible for the pre-matching and settlement of trades within the International Markets and to deal with any query investigation relating to these markets in a quicker turnaround and precise in the details. The role is to deliver specific services to external and internal clients with high level of quality, efficiency and fostering a client first mindset. Read more via job description attached. You will be supporting UK region, working hours would be between 3pm to 12am or 4pm to 1am. However, flexibility is required to support business needs. What will you do
- Engaged in Securities Lending operational activity across multiple markets to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved.
- Provision of an exceptional level of client service in all areas, with particular focus on sale and transition management in terms of day-to-day tasks.
- Action oriented - exhibits drive, motivation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Works closely with supervisor of department to achieve department and organization goals.
- Provision of support to the International Securities Finance business, ensuring that trade settlement, corporate action, income collection and all associated reconciliation issues are prioritized according to associated levels of market/financial risk.
- Ensure that the department meets all audit and compliance requirements and applying the appropriate rules and guidance to all activity within the team.
- Participation in group performance (KPI/KRI/KQI) summaries, ensuring understanding of the impact of the functions under responsibility.
- Identifying process improvement ideas.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of market practice across markets.
- Maintenance of relationships with the sub-custodian network, borrowing brokers and the RBC internal teams.
- University Degree or equivalent
- Competent in MS Excel and Word applications
- Microsoft Office applications
- RBC I&TS Internal Custody-related systems
- Word Knowledge of different investment instrument types
- Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize actions.
