About Our Client
My client is a leader in the chemical manufacturing industry, committed to innovation, quality, and efficiency. They are seeking a dedicated Instrument Engineer to join their team and contribute to maintaining the reliability and efficiency of their industrial instrumentation systems.
Job Description
- Assist in monitoring and managing daily operations to ensure stability and efficiency, including planning and conducting preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance for all related equipment.
- Support the introduction and implementation of new technologies and methods to improve work efficiency, maximize output, and minimize engineering costs.
- Lead the diagnosis, identification, and rectification of instrument breakdowns and other technical issues.
- Assist in managing calibration schedules and tests for industrial instrumentation, including those that control level, flow, pressure, and temperature.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and analysis for critical instrument defects and system failures, including DCS, SCADA, and PLC breakdowns.
- Supervise and provide guidance to instrument technicians to ensure accurate execution of instrumentation tasks.
- Assist in developing maintenance strategies, ensuring that all servicing and repair work is performed accurately and on time, and preparing necessary reports and documentation.
- Ensure proper and safe handling of tools and equipment by subordinates during instrument maintenance tasks.
- Provide on-site support and technical assistance to maintenance staff to ensure work progresses as planned.
- Manage the instrumentation parts inventory, including asset control, usage tracking, and obsolescence reduction.
- Contribute to meeting Maintenance Quality Objectives and Performance Targets.
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop efficient, safe, and client-oriented equipment and instrumentation solutions.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of documentation and reports, ensuring they are organized and available for future reference and audits.
- Ensure accurate and timely calibration procedures are performed on-site.
- Organize and deliver training to colleagues for performance improvement and skill development.
- Review and update section policies, practices, and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Contribute to the development of specific procedures, work instructions, repair plans, and inspection schedules, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all employees comply with company safety policies, rules, and regulations.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with DCS, SCADA, and PLC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead technical projects.
- Proficiency in relevant tools, software, and instrumentation management systems.
