Job Responsibility Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in Field Surveys: Work alongside senior surveyors to conduct field surveys using a variety of equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, GPR, EML and levels.
- Setting Up Equipment: Assist in the setup and calibration of surveying equipment prior to conducting fieldwork.
- Taking Measurements: Use chains, tapes, rods, or other measurement tools to accurately measure distances and elevations.
- Boundary Marking: Help in the placement of markers, stakes, and flags to mark boundaries, reference points, and survey lines.
- Data Collection: Collect data and record field observations accurately and efficiently.
- Terrain Analysis: Assist in the collection of topographic data and other relevant information to support surveying activities.
- Maintaining Equipment: Ensure that surveying equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after each use.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
- High school/diploma or degree in Land Surveying, Geomatic or equivalent required
- Previous experience in land surveying or related field is advantageous
- Familiarity with basic surveying equipment and techniques is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
