Role Overview:

Join Maxis as an IT Network Engineer Intern and support our network infrastructure. This internship offers hands-on experience in network troubleshooting, configuration, monitoring, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving network issues, such as connectivity problems, slow performance, or equipment malfunctions. Work with experienced engineers to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
• Network Configuration: Help with the configuration and deployment of network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Tasks include setting up IP addresses, VLANs, routing protocols, and security policies.
• Network Monitoring: Assist in monitoring the network infrastructure to ensure its availability, performance, and security. Use network monitoring tools to track network traffic, analyze data, and generate reports.
• Network Documentation: Help create and update network documentation, including network diagrams, equipment inventory, IP address schemes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Accurate documentation is crucial for efficient network management and troubleshooting.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest networking technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Take advantage of training opportunities, certifications, and online resources to enhance your knowledge and skills in network engineering.

Required Skills:

• Currently pursuing tertiary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT - Cloud & Network, or a related field.
