Sales & Application Engineer

Job Responsibility

• Provide technical related sales support, develop product applications and solutions to customers.
• Establishing new customers, service and maintaining existing clients, managing and interpreting customer requirements.
• Handle reports which include of service reports and respond to technical issues pertinent to our range of product or service performance and system solutions.
• Travelling to visit clients, ensure to call regularly customers to maintain good relations and follow up on leads.
• Preparing quotation, close sales, co-ordinate sales projects, providing pre-sales and after sales technical assistant, conduct training and product presentation when necessary.
• Active participation in assisting tender process, negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions.
• Update activities, report and sales forecast plans at RM.
• Marketing support by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by Managers from time to time.
• Evaluating the customer's requirement regarding systems application and administering the technical, technological, and functional aspects of proposals accordingly as instructed.
• Assisting the application engineering manager for performing the desired tests and installation procedures, preparing detailed schedule regarding the project specification, conducting research on market trends in field application, and analysing the emerging trends for recommending the new application engineering products.
• Troubleshooting system applications on customer's request, resolving other engineering issues regarding systems application, conducting regular follow up on customer's activities, and monitoring the same for obtaining new sales opportunities

Job Requirements

• Minimum Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Engineering / Mechanical / Electronic or equivalent experience.
• 1 – 2 years sales experience in a technical field will be a plus.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia literacy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be willing to travel most of the time.
• Possess own car and a valid driving license.
• Proficient in use of MS Office Applications (Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Dedicated, high level of integrity, resourceful and able to work independently.
• Ability to establish rapport and build long-term relationships with customers.
