Our company is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a content calendar across all platforms, scheduling and publishing daily content;
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness;
  • Manage a monthly ad budget;
  • Provide reports on metrics and recommend ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives;
  • Implement a social media content strategy that supports the company’s marketing objectives;
  • Understand how the social media activities and email marketing campaigns impact search traffic;
  • Write monthly content across social media and email marketing platforms;
  • In charge of escalating customers queries to customer service or relevant department;
  • Manage clients’ Social Media Pages and email marketing accounts;
  • Monitor trends and changes in social media platforms;
  • Keep abreast of local and international email marketing trends and tools;
  • Managing and responding to advocates comments and questions, across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google Reviews and blog.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns;
  • Passion for Social Media and digital marketing;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Afrikaans;
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.);
  • Proven experience in social media and digital marketing;
  • Content writing + community management experience;
  • Be willing to check-in after hours to respond to followers’ comments and questions;
  • Paid Social experience is a bonus;
  • Naturally curious with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn;
  • Have a love and passion for social media and content;
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • proven effectiveness when working under pressure;
