Our company is looking for a Commis III to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high quality standards expected by Hilton;
  • Meet all health and hygiene requirements;
  • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues;
  • Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines;
  • Be environmentally aware;
  • Ensure food prepared is according to the set menu specifications (pictures or/and portions) thus maintaining high standards set by the Outlet Chef;
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination;
  • Make sure to report immediately any hazardous conditions, near misses and injuries to the supervisor;
  • Adopt work practices that support EHS programs;
  • Handle / use all provided resources, facility and tools in a safe manner;
  • Wear personal protective equipment as provided and instructed;
  • Must be involved in training and other environment, health and safety activities where required;
  • Must not intentionally place at risk the health or safety of any person in the workplace;
  • Look for guidance for all new or modified work procedures;
  • To comply with all policies and procedures of EHS manual.

Requirements:

  • Experience multi-tasking and working in an environment with rigorous standards;
  • To maintain high team focus by showing co-operation and support To colleagues in pursuit of the department goals;
  • Completion of an accredited commercial cookery course or trade apprenticeship;
  • A passion to learn and a drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career;
  • To maintain a high customer service focus by approaching your job with customers always in mind;
  • Proven ability to work with a team and to follow instruction;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef;
  • Good communication skills;
  • NVQ Level 1;
  • To be flexible, responding quickly and positively To changing requirements;
  • Proof of completion in a basic food hygiene course;
  • Positive attitude;
  • A passion for food and the culinary arts.
