Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Our company is looking for a Accounting Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Notifies executive staff of any issues and/or more efficient ways to accomplish task, as well as suggesting tasks that may complement current task;
  • Qualifying a lead by asking set of questions regarding the project that they are inquiring about;
  • Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis;
  • Submits a daily report outlining tasks accomplished;
  • Provides support to the Sales, Project Management and Design team, where needed;
  • Prepares work to be processed by the Executive Team and/or Project Management team;
  • Maintains an ongoing project timeline that charts the status of all approved projects;
  • Fully completes project and/or task as instructed;
  • Use online resources to find more information about a lead (company, position, etc.);
  • Support Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) business unit analysis;
  • Prepare financial reports, charts, and other exhibits as requested;
  • Disseminate required information to the team members as instructed;
  • Follows all projects from creation to final production, including sign-off on proof reviews and executive approvals;
  • Must follow up with the leads in a timely manner;
  • Effectively maintaining records of sales contacts, sales activities and customer interactions utilizing SG’s Salesforce.com management platform.

Requirements:

  • Must be a bachelor’s degree holder;
  • Preferably with established links with Banking & Financial Institutions, Health, Insurance, Education Industries & Government Agencies / Offices;
  • Familiarity with basic tax rules and regulations;
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently;
  • Should have a degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Accounting Technology, or any related course;
  • Confident and charismatic approach to people;
