Equities Dealer Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a Equities Dealer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain front-office trade data and documentation;
  • Provide necessary requirements for the setting up and maintenance of relationships with the firm’s counterparties and brokers;
  • Assist in the maintenance of updated portfolio reports;
  • Liaise with and assist back office on needed inputs and settlement issues;
  • Monitor fixed income / equity and cash positions in the accounts on a daily basis and ensure they adhere to portfolio targets;
  • Provide input to the fund managers on the implementability of portfolio strategy, particularly with regards to liquidity and market depth.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment;
  • MBA/CFA is a plus;
  • Proficiency with Excel and trading systems (Bloomberg etc.);
  • Relevant educational qualifications, preferably in university degree in economics, finance, business, accounting or similar courses;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Previous exposure to the market/s assigned is desired;
  • With 2 years or more investment experience in equities dealing (highly preferred);
  • High Level of Integrity;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strong analytical ability with solid quantitative skills;
  • Experience in asset management or related industry;
  • Good understanding of the investment theories and underlying financial instruments.
