Responsibilities:

  • Convert new relationships into repeat business;
  • You will develop and lead both short and long term strategies;
  • Negotiate with the clients and prospective clients as per price guidelines given, looking to maximize profits;
  • Plan & execute approaches & pitches to clients;
  • Proven success in your sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process;
  • Master and understand market trends and seasonality in the market;
  • Ability to prospect effectively in order to secure appointments with qualified leads;
  • Handle & overcome client objections;
  • Comfortable with presenting to clients;
  • Manage pipeline to ensure conversion rate is applied and revenue generated to reach targets;

  • Meet and exceed targets set in terms of contributing and generating revenue for the department;
  • Implement new clients successfully, adhering to SOP, SLA, KPI and RFQ requirements;
  • Achieve the targets and KPI, with view to grow the business in line with the companies Vision and plan;
  • Acquire new business, in line with budget requirements, by successful prospecting, and effective negotiating skills.

  • Computer literate. (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
  • A clear understanding of Freight Audit Reports;
  • Attention to detail & follow up skills;
  • Experience minimum of 2-5 years in Courier Domestic, International – Africa / International;
  • Strong administration skills;
  • Business development skills;
  • Own transport – reliable and trustworthy Must be “NEW BUSINESS” – Hunting /Cold calling/specialist/ ability to work under pressure,
  • Excellent communication & client relations & service orientation skills.
