Job Specification, Key Responsibilities & Duties of Internal Audit

Planning and executing audit assignments within the Group inclusive of financial, operational, and business process reviews to ensure the Group's policies, procedures, and governing laws and regulations.
Performing preliminary review, risk analysis, and drafting of audit programs.
Examining and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control system on risk-based audit approach.
Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk, and develop remediation strategies.
Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks.
Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities and create counteractive strategies to protect the network.
Updating audit programs if new risks are identified, gathering of audit evidence, and preparing the Record Audit Findings (RAF).
Identifies and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk.
Monitor audit work progress, and hold exit meetings with auditees.
Conducting follow-up audits on agreed audit recommendations.
Data analysis, sample selection, and conduct testing.
Performing ad-hoc audits, special reviews, and investigations as and when required.
Supervise, monitor, and manage the receipt of information/complaints about criminal misconduct, corruption, abuse of power, and misappropriation as well as violations of the organization’s code of conduct and ethics.
Bring information/complaints to the CIGO to evaluate the information/complaints for further action. Monitor and supervise movement records of incoming/received complaints until completed.
Detecting and verifying information on related to corruption, abuse of power, misappropriation, and violations of the organization’s code of conduct and ethics.

Assist in the receipt of information/complaints about criminal misconduct, corruption, abuse of power, and misappropriation as well as violations of the organization's code of conduct and ethics.
Assist the movement records of incoming/received complaints until completed.
Assist in detecting and verifying information related to corruption, abuse of power, misappropriation, and violations of the organization's code of conduct and ethics.
Assist in the planning, implementation, and coordinate of integrity strengthening programs to improve the practice of moral values, ethics, and organizational integrity.
Assist in providing articles/input reading materials for strengthening integrity for publication, printing, publicity, and promotion for staff.
Assist in preparing and reporting the IGU activities and findings to the Board of Directors and SPRM on half yearly basis.
