About the Role/ The Opportunity:

As an engineer of the SAAS Operations team, you will be working directly with the production systems behind all Sitecore SAAS offerings. You will be executing SAAS operations required for end-to-end service delivery to our customers and resolving incidents as a level 3 support engineer. You will be coached in these efforts by a senior engineer. You will collaborate with global colleagues from the SAAS operations team, as well as with colleagues from product engineering, product management and platform engineering.

What You’ll Do:

Monitor and manage applications, databases, and web servers to proactively predict and prevent impending issues and maintain 24/7/365 Service Availability.
Application and infrastructure deployment.
Execute backup and maintenance procedures.
Database administration, analysis, and performance tuning.
Documentation of process, environment, and run books.

What You Need to Succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is a must.
Experience in a SaaS driven environment.
Strong working knowledge of Linux and understanding of Linux-based software stacks. Experience in containerization (Kubernetes) and microservices technologies. Proven track record in Azure and/or AWS Cloud Technologies.
Certifications and/or proven proficiency in one or more Azure or AWS technologies.

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

Knowledge about NoSQL databases like Redis, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.
Knowledge about Infrastructure automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Knowledge of monitoring technologies.
Python scripting experience is a plus.
Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like Jira Service Desk, Service Now, etc.
Knowledgeable about on-call management tools like OpsGenie, PagerDuty, etc.
Experience with content management systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management (DAM), business process management (BPM) applications is a plus.
