Internship Account Assistant

Job Summary Jump-start your accounting experience in a hands-on trading and e-commerce setting by working with us at Goh Office Supplies, where everyday purchases and supplier orders meet careful bookkeeping. You'll learn how retail finance runs and why accurate records matter for business decisions and customer trust. As the backbone of our finance team, you will enter daily transactions, process invoices and payments, assist with monthly bank and ledger reconciliations, and keep physical and digital financial records audit-ready. • Build practical bookkeeping experience by working directly with transaction entry, vouchers, and accounting software.
• Develop core accounts payable and receivable skills by processing vendor bills, issuing customer invoices, and tracking outstanding payments.
• Expand your reconciliation and audit-readiness skills through monthly bank and ledger checks and tidy financial filing._
• You will monitor inventory and place orders for stationery, pantry items, and equipment as needed.

; JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Data Entry and Bookkeeping: Input daily financial transactions, invoices, and payment vouchers into accounting software accurately.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process vendor bills, match purchase orders, issue customer invoices, and track outstanding payments.
• Reconciliations: Assist with monthly bank and ledger reconciliations to find and fix discrepancies.
• Administrative Support: Organize and maintain physical and digital financial filing systems, handle staff expense claims, and support audit preparations.
• Supplies and assets: You will monitor inventory and place orders for stationery, pantry items, and equipment as needed.
• Vendor coordination: You will liaise with building management, cleaning services, and IT or equipment repair vendors to keep the office running.

• You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Diploma or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Relevant coursework or any part-time or internship experience in bookkeeping or retail finance will help you get started faster.

• Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills for accurate transaction entry.
• Basic Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, and simple functions.
• Comfortable using accounting software or willing to learn our systems and digital filing practices.

• Eager to learn, able to meet deadlines, and responsible when handling confidential financial information.
• Organised and reliable, with a habit of keeping tidy physical and digital records.
