Responsibilities:
- Sourcing;
- Monthly spend Report and Monthly Cost Savings report;
- Cost Saving;
- Reduce single sourcing;
- Completion of purchase orders in terms of agreed deliveries;
- Compliance of CSA’s payment terms or substantiation of deviations;
- Management of call outs for emergencies/breakdowns and subsequent authorisation to ensure suppliers carry out work with a purchase order;
- may perform other duties as needed;
- Vendor selection;
- Responsible for the collection of supplier BBBEE certification and other compliance documentation;
- Maintenance of contracts and credit applications with suppliers;
- Generation of purchase orders;
- Price regulation;
- Collect all OE Letters;
- Organise, update and maintain supplier database.
Requirements:
- 2 years buying experience in construction is preferred;
- Aptitude in analytical ability and working with numbers;
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure & able to evaluate high-risk decisions;
- Ability to work fast and accurately;
- Ability to work with data, analyze promotions, and work on range reviews;
- Will be permanently based in Laguna and must be amenable to travel to Makati once a week;
- Ability to deal with large volumes of data, interpret numbers and apply learnings;
- At least 5 years related experience in the same or similar function;
- Business Correspondence;
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills;
- Preferred hands-on experience with purchasing software or an ERP;
- Communication skills;
- Graduate of any four-year course;
- Preferred experience as an assistant buyer/purchasing assistant to a Buyer and buying team.
