Procurement Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Procurement Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Checks invoices and orders for accuracy;
- Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for projects;
- Ensure that the correct products are delivered in a timely manner to satisfy project specific requirements;
- Compares prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions;
- Transfer stock and action requests for collections and deliveries;
- Negotiates with contractors on price, mode of shipping, and delivery time.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office : Excel, Word, Outlook, Power-point;
- Possesses strong negotiation skills;
- Is timely in following up on contracts and checking on lead times and backorders;
- Has good verbal communications skills;
- Is trustworthy and does not abuse authority or misappropriate funds;
- Must be able to form strong inter-personal relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Has good math skills and is quickly able to calculate the cost of goods and services;
- Is capable of staying within a given budget;
- Able to work effectively in a high pressure environment.
