Finance Controller Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Finance Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Be an effective team leader who will drive efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the department;
- Coordinate preparation of budgets and financial forecasts;
- secure company SOP;
- Provide a detailed review of key balance sheet accounts and variance review of P&L;
- Prepares monthly financial statements;
- Develop, design and implement policies, systems and procedures;
- initiating idea and contribute to the strategic planning and decision making together with the CEO;
- Prepare periodical accounting reports related to investments;
- Build a team to ensure that there is ample cover for the team when members are absent when critical deadlines need to be met;
- Develop annual budgets and financial plans based on research and data;
- Must possess a continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to streamlining processes;
- Handle project budgets with variance analysis and reporting;
- Ensure accounting and reporting meets the requirements of the global group regulations, as well as abiding by the appropriate tax laws;
- Support the bidding department for precise cost assumptions for bids;
- Develop process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Professional License in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent;
- Must be a CPA 5+ year’s relevant experience – preferably Big 4 with Shared Service Center and multinational corporation background;
- Must be able to articulate well to all levels in the organization;
- Willing to travel;
- Strong computer skills especially MS Office;
- Excellent people management skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential;
- Willing to do night shift or mid-shift;
- SAP/Oracle or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable;
- Must have expertise in a stock brokerage in the PSE; or similar trading operations abroad; or experience in consumer focused FinTech companies;
- High capacity to understand and summarize financial data into high quality, accurate and usable summaries;
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting;
- Proven in-depth knowledge in accounting and finance.
